The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB

At 12:16:17 UT on 12 Jun 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240612B (trigger 739887382.859234 / 240612511).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 328.8, Dec = 11.5 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 21h 55m, 11d 30'), with a statistical uncertainty of 5.8 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 68.0 degrees.
