Stamatikos (OSU/NASA/GSFC), M. A. Stark (PSU),\nR. L. C. Starling (U Leicester) and E. Troja (NASA/GSFC/ORAU) report\non behalf of the Swift Team:\n\nAt 18:34:10 UT, the Swift Burst Alert Telescope (BAT) triggered and\nlocated trigger 418109. Swift slewed to the location at the end\nof the trigger image interval. The BAT on-board calculated location\nis RA, Dec 70.262, +44.512 which is \n RA(J2000) = 04h 41m 03s\n Dec(J2000) = +44d 30' 44\"\nwith an uncertainty of 3 arcmin (radius, 90% containment, including \nsystematic uncertainty). This is an image trigger (30 minute duration). \nThe position is consistent with the known Be X-ray pulsar LS V +44 17, \nwhich was recently reported to be active (Morii et al, ATEL #2527). \n\nBAT has been detecting this source with marginal significance over\nthe past few days, with the first detection (~60 mCrab) on\n2010 March 29 at 21:39 UT. \n\nThe XRT began observing the field at 19:08:39.4 UT, 2069.0 seconds\nafter the BAT trigger. XRT found a bright X-ray source located at RA,\nDec 70.2497, +44.5297 which is equivalent to:\n RA(J2000) = 04h 41m 00.07s\n Dec(J2000) = +44d 31' 46.9\"\nwith an uncertainty of 5.2 arcseconds (radius, 90% containment). This\nlocation is 71 arcseconds from the BAT onboard position, within the BAT\nerror circle. \n\nXRT position is consistent with LS V +44 17. \n \nNo event data are yet available to determine the column density using\nX-ray spectroscopy. \n\nThe initial flux in the 2.5 s image was 1.60e-09 erg cm^-2 s^-1 (0.2-10\nkeV). \n\nUVOT took a finding chart exposure of 150 seconds with the White\nfilter starting 2080 seconds after the BAT trigger. LS V +44 17 is\nbright at the XRT position and compromised by coincidence loss at a\nlevel which is uncorrectable. The SIMBAD magnitude for the source is\nV = 10.7, which is consistent with the UVOT image although more\nquantitative statements cannot be made.",
