Ukwatta (GWU)\n(i.e. the Swift-BAT team):\n\nUsing the data set from T-60 to T+240 sec from the recent telemetry \ndownlink, we report further analysis of BAT GRB 101017A (trigger \n#436429) (Siegel, et al., GCN Circ. 11345). The BAT ground-calculated \nposition is RA, Dec = 291.377, -35.141 deg which is\n RA(J2000) = 19h 25m 30.5s\n Dec(J2000) = -35d 08' 25.9\"\nwith an uncertainty of 1.0 arcmin, (radius, sys+stat, 90% containment). \nThe partial coding was 43%.\n\nThe mask-weighted light curve resembles an overall FRED-like profile, \nstarting at T-5 sec, peaking at T+2 sec, but with multiple shorter \nspikes superimposed. An extended tail is detectable out to at least \nT+160 sec. T90 (15-350 keV) is 70.0 +- 3.0 sec (estimated error \nincluding systematics).\n\nThe time-averaged spectrum from T-5.5 to T+111 sec is best fit by a \nsimple power-law model. The power law index of the time-averaged \nspectrum is 1.45 +- 0.03. The fluence in the 15-150 keV band is 1.8 +- \n0.1 x 10^-5 erg/cm2. The 1-sec peak photon flux measured from T+2.58 \nsec in the 15-150 keV band is 9.4 +- 0.4 ph/cm2/sec. All the quoted \nerrors are at the 90% confidence level.\n\nThe results of the batgrbproduct analysis are available at\nhttp://gcn.gsfc.nasa.gov/notices_s/436429/BA/",
