Melandri (INAF-OAB)\nreport on behalf of the Swift/UVOT team:\n\nThe Swift/UVOT began settled observations of the field of GRB 110315A\n113 s after the BAT trigger (Melandri et al., GCN Circ. 11790).\nNo optical afterglow consistent with the enhanced XRT position\n(Beardmore et al., GCN Circ. 11792) is detected in the initial UVOT\nexposures. Preliminary 3-sigma upper limits using the UVOT photometric\nsystem (Poole et al. 2008, MNRAS, 383, 627) for the first finding\nchart (FC) exposure and subsequent exposures are:\n\nFilter T_start(s) T_stop(s) Exp(s) Mag\n\nwhite_FC 113 263 147 >20.5\nu_FC 325 559 230 >19.7\nwhite 113 12119 1275 >21.8\n\nThe values quoted above are not corrected for the Galactic extinction\ndue to the reddening of E(B-V) = 0.25 in the direction of the burst\n(Schlegel et al. 1998).",
