Greiner (AIP Potsdam/MPE Garching) \n\nreport: \n\n\nThe error circle of GRB 020409 (Piro et al., GCN #1347) was imaged for the\nsecond time in the I band on April 11/12 with the Tautenburg Schmidt\ntelescope equipped with the prime focus CCD camera (2k x 2k; fov about 35\nx 35 arcmin), covering the full BeppoSAX error region. \n\nSix images with 10 min exposure time each were obtained. The second epoch\nobservations are deeper than the first epoch observations. We detect \nno source which varied by more than approximately 0.5 mag within the \nGRB error circle. Any potential afterglow must have been fainter than\nabout I=(21 +/- 0.5)  mag during the first epoch observations (Stecklum\net al., GCN #1353), which began on April 10, 21:44 UT.\n\nThis message can be quoted.",
