Siegel (PSU) report on behalf of the Swift Team:\n\nAt 02:09:09 UT, the Swift Burst Alert Telescope (BAT) triggered and\nlocated a burst consistent with the location of the Soft Gamma\nRepeater SGR J1745-29. Swift slewed immediately\nto the burst. The BAT on-board calculated location is \nRA, Dec 266.420, -29.004 which is \n RA(J2000) = 17h 45m 41s\n Dec(J2000) = -29d 00' 14\"\nwith an uncertainty of 3 arcmin (radius, 90% containment, including \nsystematic uncertainty). The BAT light curve showed a single short\nsoft peak with a duration of 64 ms. The peak count rate\nwas ~4000 counts/sec (15-350 keV), at ~0 sec after the trigger. \n\nThe XRT began observing the field at 02:10:11.0 UT, 61.2 seconds after\nthe BAT trigger. Using promptly downlinked data we detect several x-ray\nsources as expected for the Galactic Center region. Further analysis \nusing the full data will be required to identify the source of this event. \n\nUVOT took a finding chart exposure of 150 seconds with the White filter\nstarting 66 seconds after the BAT trigger. No credible afterglow candidate has\nbeen found in the initial data products. The 8'x8' region for the \nlist of sources generated on-board covers 100% of the BAT error circle. \nThe list of sources is typically complete to about 18 mag. No correction\nhas been made for the large, but uncertain extinction expected. \n\nWe believe that this is further activity from the SGR J1745-29 source\nwhich BAT last detected on June 7 of this year. (The Chandra location\nof this source is given in ATEL #5032.)",
