Manulis (Weizmann)\n\nFurther to Lipunov et al.���s discovery of a transient by MASTER in \nESO 138-006  which is in the localisation region of G211117\n(see GCN 18835), at (RA, Dec) = 16h 54m 20.77s \n-61d 52m 58.0s on 2016-01-06.06807 UT.\n\nPESSTO, the Public ESO Spectroscopic Survey for Transient Objects \n(see Smartt et al. 2015, A&A, 579, 40 http://www.pessto.org) \nreports a classification spectrum. The transient is a type II supernova, \nmost likely a II-P, at +30d, with a redshift (z=0.018) consistent with that of the \nlikely host  (ESO 138-006). \n\nObservations were performed on the ESO New Technology Telescope \nat La Silla on 2016 Jan 08, using EFOSC2 and Grism 13 (3985-9315A, \n18A resolution). Classifications was done with SNID (Blondin & Tonry, 2007, \nApJ, 666, 1024) and GELATO (Harutyunyan et al., 2008, A&A, 488, 383). \nClassification spectrum can be obtained from http://www.pessto.org (via WISeREP).",
