Pian (INAF,\nTrieste, I), on behalf of a larger Italian collaboration, report\n\nWe have obtained BVRI images of the afterglow (Peterson & Price, GCN\n1985) of GRB 030329 (Vanderspek et al., GCN 1997), using the 182cm\nCopernico telescope of the Astronomical Observatory of Padova (Italy),\nplus BFOSC. Seeing was ~3\"; the afterglow was clearly detected in all\nbands; we measured for it the following BVRI magnitudes, with respect to\nthe calibration performed by Henden (GCN 2082):\n\n\nUT start    exptime  filter  mag      err\n------------------------------------------\nApr. 4.908   600 s   R       18.14 +- 0.02\nApr. 4.916  1200 s   B       18.88 +- 0.02\nApr. 4.932   600 s   I       17.71 +- 0.02\nApr. 4.941   600 s   V       18.55 +- 0.02\n\n\nAssuming a powerlaw shape for the spectrum (F_nu propto nu^-beta), the\nbest fit to our data yields beta~1.\n\nThis message can be cited.",
