  "body": "The IceCube Collaboration (http://icecube.wisc.edu/) reports:\n\nOn 22-11-24 at 15:46:02.26 UT IceCube detected a track-like event with a \nmoderate probability of being of astrophysical origin.\n\nThe event was selected by the ICECUBE_Astrotrack_Bronze alert stream. \nThe average astrophysical neutrino purity for Bronze alerts is 30%. This \nalert has an estimated false alarm rate of 2.79 events per year due to \natmospheric backgrounds. The IceCube detector was in a normal operating \nstate at the time of detection.\n\nAfter the initial automated alert \n(https://gcn.gsfc.nasa.gov/notices_amon_g_b/137296_24212476.amon), more \nsophisticated reconstruction algorithms have been applied offline, with \nthe direction refined to:\n\nDate: 22-11-24\nTime: 15:46:02.26\nRA: 298.92 (+2.65/-2.92 deg  90% PSF containment) J2000\nDec: +3.73 (+1.04/-1.23 deg 90% PSF containment) J2000\n\nWe encourage follow-up by ground and space-based instruments to help \nidentify a possible astrophysical source for the candidate neutrino.\n\nOne gamma-ray source listed in the 4FGL Fermi-LAT catalog is located in \nthe 90% uncertainty contour. The source is 4FGL J1956.1+0234 located at \nRA=299.04 deg, Dec=2.57 deg (J2000 coordinates), 1.16 deg away from the \nbest fit position.\n\nThe IceCube Neutrino Observatory is a cubic-kilometer neutrino detector \noperating at the geographic South Pole, Antarctica.
