Groot (Radboud/UCT/SAAO) report on behalf of the\nMeerLICHT consortium:\n\nFollowing the detection by Swift of GRB 221202A and its X-ray counterpart\n(Caputo et al., GCN 33005), the 0.6m wide-field MeerLICHT telescope,\nlocated at Sutherland, South Africa, obtained 5x300s observations in the\nq,z,i,r,g bands beginning at 21:14:34 UT on 2022 December 2, approximately\n1.14 hours after the Swift trigger.\n\nWe detect no new source at the XRT position (Caputo et al., GCN 33005) in\nany of our images down to the following 3-sigma upper limits, in the AB\nmagnitude system:\n\nq > 21.80 at 21:17:27 UT\nz > 20.01 at 21:22:34 UT\ni > 21.02 at 21:28:03 UT\nr > 21.53 at 21:33:25 UT\ng > 21.58 at 21:38:54 UT\n\nMeerLICHT is built and run by a consortium consisting of Radboud\nUniversity, University of Cape Town, the South African Astronomical\nObservatory, the University of Oxford, the University of Manchester and the\nUniversity of Amsterdam.",
