Leicester), P.A. Evans (U. Leicester) report\non behalf of the Swift-XRT team:\n\n\nWe have analysed 852s of Swift/XRT data for GRB 230423A (R.Brivio et al.,\nGCN CIrc. 33677), from t-t0=704.5 s to t+t0=4893.3 s after the BAT trigger\n1165354. The trigger was previously indicated as non-burst due to a low BAT\nsignificance detection and the absence of an XRT counterpart (GCN circ.\n33677).\n\nWe found an uncatalogued fading source with coordinates:\n\nRA (J2000): 08h 10m 19.94s\n\nDEC (J2000): -21d 55’ 33.5”\n\nwith an uncertainty of 3.8” (radius, 90% confidence).\n\nWe propose this source as the X-ray afterglow of GRB 230423A.\n\n\nThe results of the XRT-team automatic analysis are available at\n\nhttps://www.swift.ac.uk/xrt_products/01165354\n\n\nThis circular is an official product of the Swift-XRT team\n"
