TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 33807 SUBJECT: GRB 230517A: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 23/05/17 11:17:12 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB At 11:05:46 UT on 17 May 2023, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 230517A (trigger 706014351.299236 / 230517462). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 120.7, Dec = -49.1 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 08h 02m, -49d 06'), with a statistical uncertainty of 1.6 degrees. The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 23.0 degrees.
