TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 35562 SUBJECT: GRB 240118B: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/01/18 12:21:43 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB At 12:11:05 UT on 18 Jan 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240118B (trigger 727272670.288166 / 240118508). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 49.8, Dec = -55.0 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 03h 19m, -55d 00'), with a statistical uncertainty of 7.1 degrees. The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 44.0 degrees.
