TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 35736 SUBJECT: GRB 240216A: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/02/16 15:50:09 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB At 10:57:02 UT on 16 Feb 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240216A (trigger 729773827.851682 / 240216456). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 34.1, Dec = -75.9 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 02h 16m, -75d 54'), with a statistical uncertainty of 5.1 degrees. The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 43.0 degrees.
