TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 36048 SUBJECT: GRB 240408A: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/04/08 01:12:52 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB At 01:02:12 UT on 8 Apr 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240408A (trigger 734230937.764604 / 240408043). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 353.5, Dec = 50.1 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 23h 33m, 50d 06'), with a statistical uncertainty of 13.4 degrees. The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 32.0 degrees.
