TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 36368 SUBJECT: GRB 240502A: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/05/02 05:39:12 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB At 05:28:41 UT on 2 May 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240502A (trigger 736320526.884406 / 240502228). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 124.6, Dec = 20.7 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 08h 18m, 20d 41'), with a statistical uncertainty of 7.2 degrees. The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 99.0 degrees.
