TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 36372 SUBJECT: GRB 240502B: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/05/02 14:34:15 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB At 14:23:42 UT on 2 May 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240502B (trigger 736352627.229972 / 240502600). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 309.1, Dec = 28.6 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 20h 36m, 28d 36'), with a statistical uncertainty of 5.3 degrees. The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 7.0 degrees.
