The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB

At 10:03:07 UT on 2 Jun 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240602A (trigger 739015392.154066 / 240602419).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 198.6, Dec = -27.1 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 13h 14m, -27d 06'), with a statistical uncertainty of 4.8 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 51.0 degrees.
