TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 36898 SUBJECT: GRB 240718A: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/07/18 06:39:25 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB At 06:29:00 UT on 18 Jul 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240718A (trigger 742976945.434234 / 240718270). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 252.9, Dec = -27.3 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 16h 51m, -27d 18'), with a statistical uncertainty of 1.3 degrees. The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 50.0 degrees.
