"body": "WeiKang Zheng (UCB), Xuhui Han (NAOC), Pinpin Zhang (NAOC) and\n\nAlexei V. Filippenko (UCB) report on behalf of the KAIT GRB team:\n\n\n\nThe 0.76-m Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope (KAIT), located at\n\nLick Observatory, responded to the fast X-ray transient EP240802a\n\nfrom the Einstein Probe (Wang et al. GCNC 37019) starting at 04:17\n\nUT, Aug 3rd, ~0.74 days after the trigger. EP240802a was also found\n\nto be coincidence with GRB 240802A (Waratkar et al., GCN 37018;\n\nAryan et al., GCN 37021; Kozyrev et al., GCN 37078). We obtained a\n\nset of clear (roughly R) filter images, we do not detect any new\n\noptical counterpart in the FXT errorbox (Wang et al. GCNC 37019),\n\nneither in single image, nor in the co-add images. We measure the\n\nlimiting mag to be ~21.0 in 28x60s co-add image at a mid time of\n\n~0.80 days after the trigger. Our result is consistent with the\n\nupper limit reported from Aryan et al. (GCN 37021), Quadri et al.\n\n(GCN 37023) and Leonini et al. (GCN 37029).\n",
