The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely SHORT GRB
At 01:22:07 UT on 17 Aug 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240817A (trigger 745550532.876778 / 240817057).
The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 227.0, Dec = -45.8 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 15h 07m, -45d 47'), with a statistical uncertainty of 7.8 degrees.
The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 60.0 degrees.
