TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 37204 SUBJECT: GRB 240820A: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/08/20 02:03:09 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB At 01:54:40 UT on 20 Aug 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240820A (trigger 745811685.074218 / 240820080). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 142.3, Dec = 49.5 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 09h 29m, 49d 30'), with a statistical uncertainty of 29.5 degrees. The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 165.0 degrees.
