TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 37428 SUBJECT: GRB 240908A: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/09/08 13:56:39 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely SHORT GRB At 13:46:04 UT on 8 Sep 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240908A (trigger 747495969.747326 / 240908574). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 43.1, Dec = 39.6 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 02h 52m, 39d 36'), with a statistical uncertainty of 11.9 degrees. The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 71.0 degrees.
