TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 37797 SUBJECT: GRB 241016B: Fermi GBM Final Localization DATE: 24/10/16 18:27:46 GMT FROM: Elisabetta Bissaldi at Politecnico and INFN Bari The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely SHORT GRB "At 11:12:40.13 UT on 16 October 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 241016B (trigger 750769965/241016467). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 8.8, Dec = 3.1 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 00h 35m, +03d 08'), with a statistical uncertainty of 21 degrees. The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 86 degrees.
