TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 38482 SUBJECT: GRB 241209C: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/12/09 07:33:23 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB At 07:22:54 UT on 9 Dec 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 241209C (trigger 755421779.595806 / 241209308). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 116.0, Dec = -1.0 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 07h 44m, -1d 00'), with a statistical uncertainty of 4.2 degrees. The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 36.0 degrees.
