TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 38540 SUBJECT: GRB 241212A: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/12/12 09:32:08 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB At 09:21:48 UT on 12 Dec 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 241212A (trigger 755688113.6612 / 241212390). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 44.3, Dec = 6.5 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 02h 57m, 6d 30'), with a statistical uncertainty of 3.6 degrees. The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 40.0 degrees.
