Melandri (INAF-OAR), J.A. Kennea\n(PSU) and P.A. Evans (U. Leicester) reports on behalf of the Swift-XRT\nteam:\n\nSwift-XRT has performed follow-up observations of the\nSVOM/ECLAIRs-detected burst GRB 241229A, collecting 1.9 ks of Photon\nCounting (PC) mode data between T0+65.5 ks and T0+72.9 ks. \n\nOne uncatalogued X-ray source has been detected, it is below the RASS\nlimit and shows no definitive signs of fading. Therefore, at the\npresent time we cannot confirm this as the afterglow. \nThis source is 7.1 arc-seconds from the 2nd source in the list of the\nafterglow candidates reported by Einstein Probe/FXT (GCN #38726).\n\n\nDetails of this source are given below:\n\nSource 1:\n RA (J2000.0): 192.8735 = 12:51:29.63\n Dec (J2000.0): +31.7474 = +31:44:50.6\n Error: 4.3 arcsec (radius, 90% conf. [Enhanced position])\n Count-rate: 0.0172 +/- 0.0038 ct s^-1 \n Distance: 399 arcsec from SVOM/ECLAIRs position.\n Flux: (4.32 +/- 0.96)e-13 erg cm^-2 s^-1 (observed, 0.3-10 keV)\n\nThe results of the XRT-team automatic analysis of the XRT observations,\nincluding a position-specific upper limit calculator, are available at\nhttps://www.swift.ac.uk/ToO_GRBs/00021751.\n\nThis circular is an official product of the Swift-XRT team.\n\n",
