Jensen, Jens Hjorth and\nJose Maria Castro Ceron (DARK, NBI) report:\n\nUsing ALFOSC on the Nordic Optical Telescope (NOT) we have obtained\nspectra of the afterglow of GRB 050922C (GCN#4013 Norris et al.\n[Swift], GCN#4012 Rykoff et al. [ROTSE-III], GCN#4015\nJakobsson et al. [NOT]) on 2005, Sep 22.9 UT.\n\nWe find several absorption features, including strong Lyman-alpha,\nOI+SiII, CII, SiIV, CIV, AlII and AlIII, corresponding to a redshift\nof z = 2.17+-0.03 (based on a preliminary wavelength calibration).\nThere is additional strong absorption, possibly corresponding to\nLyman-alpha at z = 2.05+-0.03.",
