The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB

At 19:57:01 UT on 7 Jan 2026, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 260107A (trigger 789508626.671092 / 260107831).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 339.0, Dec = 2.0 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 22h 36m, 2d 00'), with a statistical uncertainty of 2.6 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 73.0 degrees.
