The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB

At 09:33:43 UT on 22 Jan 2026, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 260122A (trigger 790767228.420398 / 260122398).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 307.8, Dec = -12.8 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 20h 31m, -12d 48'), with a statistical uncertainty of 6.5 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 65.0 degrees.
