TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 44447 SUBJECT: GRB 260502A: Fermi GBM Final Localization DATE: 26/05/03 05:20:13 GMT FROM: Rushikesh Sonawane at IISER TVM The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely SHORT GRB "At 05:01:00.25 UT on 02 May 2026, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 260502A (trigger 799390865/260502209). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 283.76, Dec = 57.62 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 18h 55m, +57d 37′), with a statistical uncertainty of 13.77 degrees. The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 23 degrees.
