Filippenko (UCB) report on\n\nbehalf of the KAIT GRB team:\n\n\nThe 0.76-m Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope (KAIT), located at\n\nLick Observatory, observed the field of SVOM GRB 261007A (Goto\n\net al., GCN 45824) starting at 05:43:55, 112 seconds after SVOM\n\ntrigger. Observations were performed in 3 x 3 tiling mode, and a\n\nset of clear (roughly R) filter images were obtained. In one of\n\nthe fields, we found an optical counterpart candidate at position\n\nof Ra,Dec=(11.6142,-17.6922 degree), which is equal to:\n\n\nRA = 00:46:27.4 (J2000)\n\nDec= -17:41:32.0 (J2000).\n\n\nThe candidate decayed from 15.1 mag to 17.2 mag in our observations\n\nseparated by ~23 minutes, we suggest this to be the optical\n\ncounterpart of GRB 261007A. Observations are on going.\n",
