Filippenko (UCB) report on behalf of the KAIT GRB team:\n\nThe 0.76-m Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope (KAIT), located at Lick Observatory, automatically responded to the EP-WXT trigger 01709321980 (Li et al. GCN 46106) starting at 05:32:29 UT on 2026 October 30, about 9 minutes after the trigger. A set of images in the B, V, R, I, and clear (roughly R) filters were obtained over ~1.0 hour under cloudy conditions. We performed photometry on the star ATO J336.9854+01.6911 and found that its brightness decreased in all bands, especially in V band decayed from 13.56 ± 0.05 mag to 13.89 ± 0.06 mag in about 46 minutes, consistent with the optical fading reported by Perez-Garcia et al. (GCN 46107), thus confirming the EP X-ray trigger is related to the stellar flare.\n",
