Di Fabrizio (INAF/TNG) report:\n\nWe observed the optical counterpart of GRB 060218 (Moretti et al., GCN \n4775; Marshall et al., GCN 4779; Quimby et al., GCN 4782) with the 3.6m \nTNG telescope located at the Canary Islands.\n\nSpectroscopy in the range 4000-8000 AA reveals a blue continuum with \nprominent star-forming emission features (Mirabal & Halpern, GCN 4792; \nMasetti et al., GCN 4803).\n\nA weak, broad bump is seen at ~5000 A, which is consistent with the peak \nof a broad-lined SN like SN\\1998bw (see also Masetti et al., GCN 4803; \nSoderberg et al., GCN 4804). The overall observed shape would imply a \nroughly equal contribution from the afterglow and the SN.\n\nThis message can be cited.",
