Rujopakarn (U Mich), report on behalf of the \nROTSE collaboration:\n\nROTSE-IIIa, located at Siding Spring Observatory, Australia, responded \nto GRB 061007 (Swift trigger 232683). The first image was at 10:08:35.2 \nUT, 26.4 s after the burst (9.2 s after the GCN notice time). The \nunfiltered images are calibrated relative to USNO A2.0. We detect a new \nobject, not visible in the DSS (second epoch), with coordinates:\n\n      03:05:19.6      -50:30:02.5    (J2000), with positional \nuncertainty of 1\" or better\n\nstart UT    \tmag     mlim(of image)\n----------------------------------\n10:08:35.2     13.6     14.8\n\n\nA jpeg image is available at \nhttp://www.rotse.net/images/gsb232683_3a00_img.jpg Note that the object \nmarked 13 is the candidate in question.\n\nContinuing observations are in progress.",
