Vitali   report on behalf of the REM team:\n\nWe observed the field of the GRB 071010 (Moretti et al., GCN 6859)  with \nthe robotic 60-cm REM telescope located at La Silla (Chile). A set of \nobservations was performed automatically in the Z, J, H, K NIR filters \nstarting at 03:42:52 UT (about 100 sec after the burst) and lasted about \n30 minutes due to visibility constraints.\n\nThe analysis of the first set of H-band exposures clearly show the \noptical afterglow candidate reported by Klotz et al. (GCN 6860), Bloom \net al. (GCN. 6861), Haislip et al. (GCN. 6862) at a level of H =14.3 � \n0.2 (calibrated against the 2MASS catalog). The afterglow is clearly \ndetected in all bands.\n\nFuther analysis is in progress.",
