Vitali report on behalf of the REM team:\n\nThe robotic 60-cm REM telescope located at La Silla (Chile) observed \nautomatically the field of the GRB 080229 (Cannizzo et al., GCN 7335) on \nMarch 01.154 UT (about 10.6 hours after the burst).\n\nWe do not detect any afterglow candidate inside the XRT error box down \nto the following limiting magnitudes (3sigma c.l., calibrated against \nthe 2MASS catalog):\n\nJ > 16.3\nH > 15.6\nK > 14.4\n\nFurther analysis is in progress.",
