Ukwatta (GSFC/GWU), L. Vetere (PSU) and\nH. Ziaeepour (UCL-MSSL) report on behalf of the Swift Team:\n\nAt 13:17:23 UT, the Swift Burst Alert Telescope (BAT) triggered and\nlocated GRB 090417 (trigger=349447). Swift did not slew immediately\ndue to a Sun constraint. \nThe BAT on-board calculated location is \nRA, Dec 34.995, -7.181 which is \n RA(J2000) = 02h 19m 59s\n Dec(J2000) = -07d 10' 51\"\nwith an uncertainty of 3 arcmin (radius, 90% containment, including \nsystematic uncertainty). The BAT light curve showed a single-peaked\nstructure with a duration of about 0.1 sec. The peak count rate\nwas ~3200 counts/sec (15-350 keV), at ~0 sec after the trigger. \n\nDue to an observing constraint, Swift cannot slew to the BAT position. \nThere will thus be no XRT or UVOT data for this trigger. This location\nwill not come out of constraint until 02 Jun 2009. \n\nBurst Advocate for this burst is V. Mangano (vanessa AT ifc.inaf.it). \nPlease contact the BA by email if you require additional information\nregarding Swift followup of this burst. In extremely urgent cases, after\ntrying the Burst Advocate, you can contact the Swift PI by phone (see\nSwift TOO web site for information: http://www.swift.psu.edu/too.html.)",
