Steele (Liverpool JMU) on behalf of\na large collaboration report:\n\nOn 2009 April 22 at 03:37:40 UT the 2-m Liverpool Telescope robotically\nreacted and began observing the Swift GRB 090422 (Ukwatta et al.,\nGCN Circ. 9185) using the r',i', and z' filters, corresponding to\n2.40 min after the BAT trigger time.\n\nInside the revised XRT error circle we detect a single object of\nr' ~ 19 mag, which is already present in the DSS archive images and\nshows no significant fading from 10 min to 1 hr post burst.",
