The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB

At 05:50:24 UT on 9 Dec 2022, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 221209A (trigger 692257829.852778 / 221209243).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 241.7, Dec = 48.1 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 16h 06m, 48d 06'), with a statistical uncertainty of 1.0 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 97.0 degrees.
