The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB

At 17:49:54 UT on 16 May 2023, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 230516A (trigger 705952199.76164 / 230516743).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 148.5, Dec = 29.6 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 09h 54m, 29d 36'), with a statistical uncertainty of 8.3 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 59.0 degrees.
