The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely SHORT GRB

At 04:06:18 UT on 5 Jun 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240605A (trigger 739253183.722254 / 240605171).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 90.4, Dec = -41.6 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 06h 01m, -41d 36'), with a statistical uncertainty of 13.7 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 21.0 degrees.
