The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB
At 03:01:06 UT on 8 Jun 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240608A (trigger 739508471.435386 / 240608126).
The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 144.8, Dec = 38.6 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 09h 39m, 38d 36'), with a statistical uncertainty of 1.2 degrees.
The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 16.0 degrees.
