The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely SHORT GRB
At 21:14:50 UT on 2 Jul 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240702A (trigger 741647695.826936 / 240702885).
The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 334.5, Dec = 14.9 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 22h 18m, 14d 54'), with a statistical uncertainty of 18.0 degrees.
The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 61.0 degrees.
