The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely SHORT GRB

At 17:51:10 UT on 11 Jul 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240711A (trigger 742413075.04955 / 240711744).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 264.9, Dec = -77.5 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 17h 39m, -77d 30'), with a statistical uncertainty of 22.7 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 115.0 degrees.
