The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely SHORT GRB

At 08:07:48 UT on 26 Jul 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240726A (trigger 743674073.990914 / 240726339).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 111.9, Dec = 66.8 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 07h 27m, 66d 47'), with a statistical uncertainty of 6.2 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 16.0 degrees.
