WeiKang Zheng (UCB), Xuhui Han (NAOC), Pinpin Zhang (NAOC) and
Alexei V. Filippenko (UCB) report on behalf of the KAIT GRB team:
The 0.76-m Katzman Automatic Imaging Telescope (KAIT), located at
Lick Observatory, automatically responded to the fast X-ray
transient EP240806a from the Einstein Probe (Wu et al. GCNC 37063)
starting at 09:23 UT, ~4.60 hours after the trigger. A set of 24x60s
clear (roughly R) filter images were obtained. The optical counterpart
reported by Li et al. (GCN 37064), Izzo et al. (GCN 37065) and
Pérez-Fournon et al. (GCN 37080) was marginally detected in our
coadded images. The preliminary photometry gives a results of
21.6 +/- 0.1 mag at a mid time of 5.14 hours after the trigger.
