The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely SHORT GRB
At 14:36:45 UT on 16 Sep 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240916B (trigger 748190210.124874 / 240916609).
The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 56.5, Dec = 9.0 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 03h 46m, 9d 00'), with a statistical uncertainty of 17.6 degrees.
The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 20.0 degrees.
