The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely SHORT GRB

"At 16:19:50.85 UT on 16 October 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM)
triggered and located GRB241016C (trigger 750788395/241016680).

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data,
is RA = 108.68, Dec = -40.82 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 7h 14m, -40d 49'),
with a statistical uncertainty of 14.90 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 35 degrees.
