We observed the location of the fast X-ray transient EP241103a (Zhao et al., GCNs 38051, 38058) using the Gemini South telescope equipped with the GMOS instrument. A total of 4x120 s images were secured in the r filter, carried out at a mean epoch 2024 Nov 3.267 UT, 5.0 hr after the EP/WXT trigger.
A number of faint sources, none of which obviously point-like, are visible inside the refined EP/WXT error circle (Zhao et al., GCN 38058). All of them are at least marginally visible in the archival images from the Legacy survey, showing no variability. Our 3-sigma limiting magnitude is r = 25.
We acknowledge the Gemini staff for carrying out our observations expeditely.
